In Chennai city, the mobile phone usage has social, economic and cultural effects. This research paper analyses the influence of mobile phones among the family people used for the communication. Study is undertaken in a part of North Chennai. This study is conducted among various age groups of people and each group have a varying impact on mobile phones. It contributes to expand a strong relationship among family people and also has a diverse effect. This paper ends with valuable comments on future study of mobile phones in family communication.
